Small Businesses in Central and Western PA Receive Comcast RISE Award
Comcast RISE was created in 2020 to give small businesses owned by people of color the tools needed to thrive. Comcast will support 13,000 small businesses by end of 2022.
Comcast RISE offers recipients grants, marketing services and technology upgrades that will strengthen and empower small businesses.
Since November 2020, twenty-three entrepreneurs from central and western Pennsylvania and nearly 4,700 nationwide have been selected as Comcast RISE awardees.
The newest recipients include:

- Ward of Health, Harrisburg
- Beauty by Judelyne Wellness Spa, Lancaster
- Big Tom’s Barbershop, Pittsburgh
- Pittsburgh Native Cuts and Styles
- Faith, Hope and Charity Community Rehab Center, New Castle
- TT’s ToyBox Daycare Center, McKees Rocks

Affordable Internet Essentials Program Expanded to Include Pell Grant Recipients

Comcast NBCUniversal and Jobs For the Future (JFF), a national nonprofit driving transformation in the American workforce and education systems announced the $500,000 partnership.
